"There is nothing in a caterpillar that tells you it's going to be a butterfly." (R. Buckminster Fuller)Ever since I got a butterfly tattoo when I was 16, the butterfly has been my symbol for personal growth. It's my ultimate goal, to become the best version of myself.
It's not about being someone else, or conforming to general beliefs of how to be. For me, being the butterfly means to be the caterpillar first., because I'll turn into a butterfly anyway :)
Now that I am still the caterpillar, I can decide what kind of butterfly I want to be. I'd love to find my passion and purpose in life, and really start loving myself. I'd also like to live my interests freely and without shame or fear of failure. I want to bring glamour to my life, take care of my body and find out, what it really means to love myself.

Instead of wanting, it's time to be the leading lady of my life. It's time to actively shape the butterfly on my journey as a caterpillar.
And this is where Creating a Butterfly comes in...
because, I'm not intending to go on my journey alone :)
I know that this is going to be a solitary journey at first, but there are so many of you out there already on your way that I don't intend on staying alone. Some of you are already miles ahead on your personal adventure, whilst others still need to decide what they want to pack.
Nevertheless, I believe that at some stage we will have the pleasure of spending some miles of the journey together.
My vision for Creating a Butterfly
There are so many blogs
out there that want to support and help us with great advice, but often what we really want, is a support group. It's great reading up on tips, but they don't make us act most of the time. It's the community behind these blogs that really changes something in our lives.
In my heart, I wish that Creating a Butterfly will someday become bigger than me. That it will turn into a community of people who want to learn from others and teach others.
I dream of a place of inspiration without judgment, where being the caterpillar is good enough and perfection is not expected.
I can't give you absolute answers, I can't tell you what to do. The only thing I can do, is be here for you and share with you how I overcome the daily challenges on my journey.
I will give you only what I have found to be beneficial and true, and if I don't have an answer or solution, I'd like to work on it together.
Like you, I am struggling with different aspects of my life, and I don't have all the answers. I can only take one baby step at a time... :)
